Guide for OSX 10.10.x

If somebody shares contacts with you, you can easily subscribe with apple contacts:

1. Open "Apple Addressbook/Contacts"

2. Preferences -> and add

3. Choose "Other contacts account.."

4. Insert your credentials in the free fields

a. Select "Advanced"

Username: your username
Password: your password
Server Address: kernel.rz-berlin.mpg.de
Server Path:/carddav/users/kernel.rz-berlin.mpg.de/user-name/

You have change the "Target-Username" to the username that shares contacts with you !

So if the user would be "frosch" that shares contacts with me, you put in the username of frosch

Server Address: kernel.rz-berlin.mpg.de
Server Path:/carddav/users/kernel.rz-berlin.mpg.de/user-name/

Shared Address book and own Address Book at the same time - Account already exists error:

To avoid the "account already exist" while adding your account ,

• Apple allows only one configured account for a username

you can add your address book under Internet Accounts -> add -> Exchange

Select only your address book.
