Configuring IMAP, CardDAV, and CalDAV on Android based devices
configuring an Android based device to synchronize Email, Contacts, and Calendars with Kerio Connect.
The Android mobile operating system supports a variety of options for synchronizing Email, Contacts, and Calendars. This article addresses the specific options which combine the open protocols (IMAP, CalDAV, and CardDAV).
IMAP is natively supported by the Android OS, however CalDAV and CardDAV require installation of 3rd party apps, which are available through Google play. The tested apps are CalDAV-sync and CardDAV-sync.
Configuring CalDAV and CardDAV based synchronization involves a specific URL that is entered into the settings of the application. This URL can be directed to your own Contacts and Calendars stored in Kerio Connect, as well as those shared by other users, or available in public folders. For configuration details, refer to Manual Configuration of CalDAV and CardDAV accounts.
